The Single Baton Case is a quick and clean fix to the problem of storage and transport for one or two batons. While designed for one baton, Two batons that fit the dimensions can be placed end to end with handles on either side. This is a popular case because it fits in book bags, brief cases, is lighter than its double and quad counterparts, and it retains the attractive beauty of wood. Because the lids are lighter, all of these cases use a single magnetic catch.
There are two versions of the case. The first will accommodate a baton with a handle thickness of just under 3/4 of an inch, and the second will accommodate just under an inch handle thickness. Both cases accommodate batons of 14.5 inches long. A longer version that holds up to 15 inches is also available.
Engraving on the top lid is also available for a separate charge for each engraved item. Engraving can include names, slogans, and logos. Multiple choices of fonts and sizes of fonts are available for names and text. Suitable, high resolution logos in jpeg or vector formats are required to produce a clear and manageable fascimile of the logo. Cost of logo engraving is based on time spent editing the provided logo. Keep in mind, because of the size of the case, logos may be small and difficult to read if they are too detailed.
All Single Baton Cases are flocked on the inside channel - this protects the baton handle finish from being scuffed. The pictures above show cases before flocking is added The first case is made from cocobolo, and second is made from walnut. My logo appears on the top left of the baton case unless it is requested to be placed on the bottom center. In the case of engraved cases, the engravings go on the top and the logo is burned into the back center of the case.
Any exotic wood orders (e.g. cocobolo, rosewood, zebrawood, purpleheart, etc.) are priced based on the fluctuating market, and dual wood case orders are custom built. Please email the shop directly at rgarrett@iwu.edu to inquire about availability and cost of exotic/imported and dual woods.
